Research interests

I am interested in systematics and evolutionary ecology: I did my Master in Ecology and Evolution at the University of Oslo with a focus on plant systematics. My thesis was on revising the phylogeny of Crinum lilies using target capture, with the Angiosperms353 probe set, and next generation sequencing. Now I am joining professor Marc Gottschling's group where I will apply my traditional taxonomic as well as phylogenomic and bioinformatics skills in examining the evolutionary origin and distribution of Bavarian freshwater dinophytes.

My studentship is funded under the auspices of the DAAD GSSP scholarship.
